Chapter 1

A Book and a Fly Eater?
Niaka sat on her bed,the pillow under her chest,and a CD player beside her pillow.
The venus fly trap that had grew into her window,lay its head on the leaf.
The Used bashed into Niaka's pointed ears.The bed creaked as she sang,proud of herself.

It had been a week and she had been completly sober.
She had borrowed the CD and CD player from Sarah Corfezz,a close friend.
The silver top glistened from the golden sunlight reflecting through the glass window.

"You know,I think you should stop listening to that thing..." The incredibly large plant said,"You going to get in trouble..."

Niaka turned the CD player off and put it under the bed.
"Fine,you hungry?"She asked sitting up and staring at the sunlight.
Her long black hair drifted over her shoulder and shined.Her black eyes had a tint of silver over them.
She pursed her lips and grinned.

"Uh,naw."the plant yawned and relaxed in the sun.
Niaka rolled on her back and strecthed.
Her fangs and ultravine teeth shined and her tounge slid across the anamul.

"Derek and Dakota are about to be home,Darlene is napping and I'm done with chores."Niaka rolled off the bed,"Oww!"

There was a snapping sound from the bed and a old rat appeared.

"What are you doing Niaka?"The rat rubbed its ears and sniffed the air.

"Oh,Book,what's there to worry?"Niaka grinned at Book,a magical rat that used to be a furtune-teller,and still is.(not a book though)

"So when will I be able to go up-top,Book?"She pointed at the ceiling.

"Uh,"Book widened his eyes,"Actually,Ellena needs you...."

Niaka grinned and stood up.She zipped her jeans up and straightened her shirt.

"Well,bye guys."She closed her eyes and vanished in a purple smoke.
